About Masters Upper Level (MUL)

Founded in 1995, Masters Upper Level (MUL) is recognized as one of the top competitive dance studios in the nation. Masters Upper Level is committed to providing quality dance instruction in a safe and family-oriented environment. Our goal is to train dancers of all ages and abilities to appreciate the arts and be prepared for the future.
Classes are available for all dancers, at any level. Our dancers train in a foundation of ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern, with optional classes in other genres. From our youngest to our oldest students, we believe in equipping our dancers with a quality foundation of dance technique, then challenging them to be their best, inside and outside the studio.
We have a spacious, well-equipped facility with four studios located at 4100 Greenbriar Drive, Suite 100 in Stafford, TX. In 2020, we opened a second location at 3031 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, TX. Please email us at info@muldance.com if you are interested in training at either MUL location.

• National award winning competitive teams broken down by level to provide the most individualized training in the area (current competitive teams consist of Mini, Junior Intermediate, Junior Elite, Teen Intermediate, and Teen/Senior Elite)
• Baby Ballet/Tiny Tots program for our youngest dancers ranging in age from 2 to 4 years old
• Recreational evening classes for age groups 5-7, 8-10, and 11-14
• Drill Team/Dance Team Technique Classes, Solo Choreography and Cleaning
• Master classes & Intensives with professionals from all over the country
• Annual Company show held at the beautiful Stafford Performing Arts Center
A Tradition of Excellence
MUL is a trend-setting dance studio that raises the bar through a tradition of excellence in all genres of dance. We offer a variety of dance programs for both recreational and competitive dancers ages 2 to 18. Our dancers benefit from the different teaching styles and energy through instruction from each of our professional faculty members. We acknowledge that every dancer is on his or her own journey. We want to make sure your dancer gets the training that best suits their current skill set. Therefore, each dancer in our competitive program is given a personalized schedule of classes to help them grow and progress through their training at the highest possible level.
Professional Dance Instruction & Experiences
Each year, our dancers are able to experience classes from in house and guest instructors and choreographers, performances, fund raising events, regional and national competitions, and conventions. Through these experiences, our dancers develop leadership skills, learn teamwork, gain better time management, set and attain goals and build self esteem in a nurturing and positive environment.
MUL is known for bringing in some of the biggest names in the dance industry to work with, train and choreograph for our competitive dancers. We feel these opportunities broaden our dancers’ technical and performance abilities and sets MUL apart from other studios in our area.
Many MUL alumni have gone on to careers in performing or teaching dance. For every student who advances to dance professionally, there are hundreds of others who choose other paths for their lives. If asked, they will tell you their lives are richer because they were a part of the Masters Upper Level family.

We offer open Ballet & Contemporary Classes, Drill Team/Dance Team Classes, and a variety of Recreational Classes. We also host special events and master classes throughout the year. About Our Owner
Michelle Pottorf took the helm of Masters Upper Level in 2017. A successful business owner and dance mom to daughter Morgyn for many years, Michelle brought together an entrepreneurial spirit, leadership skills, and a love for dance education to create the type of studio she believes will bring out the best in every child. She has focused on a dance program that prioritizes exemplary teachers who provide quality, professional training in a positive, nurturing environment. For our competitive dancers, Michelle has invited numerous highly regarded, cutting-edge choreographers to help them grow and evolve while improving their skills and technique. Above all, Michelle understands that dance education can impact children’s lives in a positive way, regardless of whether they choose a career in dance. Through her own experience as the parent of a dancer, Michelle recognizes the value of inspiring children to love the art of dance through the encouragement and training they receive at MUL.
